Facebook Analytics is shutting down

At of the end of June, Facebook’s analytics and insights tool will be retiring. But what does this mean for your business, and what can you do to continue monitoring your page’s performance?

What is Facebook Analytics and why is it going away?

It’s a central tool that enables businesses to optimise their social campaigns through data insight, including demographics and audience behaviour.

The tool eventually extended across multiple applications and websites that Facebook-owned, making the collected data far more representative and accurate, giving businesses a plethora of rich data in customers.

Facebook has not given an explicit reason as to why this decision to shut down this tool has been taken. However, it is speculated that the issue of privacy rights for customers is a central facet to this shift.
