Businesswoman Sharon Cousans was planning to open a high-end menswear store, selling and hiring suits, shirts and accessories to men looking for their perfect wedding outfit or something for a special night out. Sharon knew everything there was to know about materials, colours and fashion trends, but she knew very little about how to make marketing work for her business. She came to Strand looking for guidance in branding and creating an online presence to be able to get customers through her door.
WHAT WE DID
Sharon had met Laura previously and had already developed a good relationship. Laura understood exactly what Chimney required. She introduced Sharon to other businesses who could give advice on starting up and set to work designing a logo and brochure. With the basic set-up in place Laura and the team turned their attention to a social media strategy, advising on the use of various platforms.
Strand also provided support for advertising online and in print, advising on the best approach and assisting with the actual design. A visible presence on Google was established with an AdWords marketing campaign.
As the relationship developed, Strand moved into writing award entries for Chimney.
In less than four years, the profile for Chimney Formal Menswear has been dramatically improved. Having won a national award for menswear excellence as well as a host of regional awards, the business continues to see an increase in enquiries, customers and conversions.
